Review: Until October of 2006 I was driving a Subaru Forrester. It was a used 2000 model that I had for about three years. At first, it was a good car. Eventually it started having all sorts of problems. A tire bearing went, the head gasket kept leaking... read full review

Did MotorTrend Screw Up Picking Toyota Camry as "Car of the Year"???
    by mrkstvns , Fri Apr 13 18:21:30 EDT 2007

Pros: Spacious, predictable, dependable family sedan
Cons: Boring, mediocre interior quality at CE/LE levels, and UGLY!

Review: There's a whole lot of smart people in this world. Some are scholars. Some are down-to-earth common folk. Most are not car critics, and the opinions of car critics aren't necessarily a whole lot smarter than the opinions of down-to-earth common folk... read full review

The bottom line: What does a magazine editor need to SMOKE to name Camry as "Car of the Year"??? I gotta get me some of THAT stuff!!

2007 Camry.. Will the Accord have some catching up to do?
    by shoplmart , Sun Apr 09 09:50:22 EDT 2006

Pros: Improved styling, Refinement, Transmission, Fuel economy, Superior safety features.
    Cons: Engine power

Review: The fifth generation Camry was a vast improvement over its predecessors, however it was still about as fun to drive as a boat on land. Even in later years when the Camry was offered with a relatively powerful 3.3-liter V6, it couldn't save it from being... read full review

The bottom line: I highly recommend taking the V6 model for a test drive before making any final buying decisions, however even in 4-cyl trim, the 2007 Camry an excellent choice.

Pros: smooth ride, good features for the money, CD/MP3 player, takes regular gasoline
Cons: beautiful exterior but minimalist interior

Review: My mother had finally decided that she wanted a new Toyota Camry. So my parents called in “Dawn the Negotiator”. It took a lot for my mother to part with her 1990 Toyota Camry, and neither of my parents wanted to dicker with a car dealer. Since I’ve... read full review

The bottom line: Another Toyota Camry for this family is proving a good purchase.

    by mkaresh , Mon Mar 13 11:31:33 EST 2006

Pros: Improved styling, upscale look and feel, refinement, general competence
Cons: Common, a bit much hard plastic inside, not the sportiest ride

2007 Camry Trades Some Substance For Style, But Remains Solid Value.
    by drive571 , Thu May 24 17:02:07 EDT 2007

Pros: Refinement, convenience, space, comfort, fuel economy.
Cons: Unexciting to drive, even in V6 form; subpar visibility; interior quality no longer exceptional.

Review: Background Although I’ve driven numerous Camrys over the years—and my father actually bought one, an SE V6, in 2005—I’ve never brought myself to write a review of this popular model. The reason is, well, what has made this car... read full review

The bottom line: Toyota's attempts to style up the Camry have resulted in some compromises. Still, it remains one of the most all-around competent cars in its class.

    If Maytag Made (stylish) Cars
    by lawman67 , Wed Mar 14 16:52:13 EDT 2007

Pros: Vastly improved styling inside and out. Legendary reliability. Smooth and quiet.
Cons: No driving excitement to be found.

Review: If Maytag made cars, they would be a lot like the Toyota Camry. Whether Maytag washers really are as durable as their advertising makes them out to be is irrelevant, but Toyota’s Camry clearly does live up to its reputation for reliability, quality,... read full review

How much more perfect can perfect get?
    by jason231 , Wed May 03 06:51:56 EDT 2006

    Pros: looks, reliability, resale value
Cons: blue/green clear dash on some models. Soon enough, you'll see them everywhere.

Review: I recently took my 2002 Camry LE in for some maintenance work at my local Toyota dealer. While I was there, I took a walk out to the lot to take a look at the newly redesigned 2007 Camrys. I've always thought of my '02 as being a pretty decent looking... read full review
